[Usha] I experiment with food a lot trying to find ways to make food healthier and tastier. I thought blogging would be a good way to make a record of these attempts and simultaneously share them with others as well.

[Usha] I hope that my blog is a place for people to share and learn more about nutrition, healthy lifestyle and also about cooking healthy. I want my readers to know that healthy ingredients like oats and barley. They are normally not part of Indian cooking and can easily be incorporated in Indian cooking and tastes good too.

[Usha] The other cuisines I like are Thai, Mexican, Italian, American and Mediterranean.

[Food-india] Could you tell us more about your food photography?
[Usha] I use a point and click (shoot) kind of camera, no fancy lens and stuff. The main thing about good pictures is getting a good natural light. Try not to use the flash at all since it makes the pictures look flat, try taking pictures in natural lighting or external lighting.
