Chai (Spiced Indian Tea)
Chai Recipe

The presented chai recipe is one of the most commonly use traditional recipe of spiced Indian tea, commonly known as Chai. Like any Indian food, experiment with different amount of spices, milk and ingredient to get a personalized chai. It can be very refreshing drink if made the way you like. India is famous for its food but hardly many people know that it has array of Indian drinks that are both unique and refreshing.

 Ingredients

2.5 cups water
1 cup half and half milk
3 plain tea bags (Do not use green or other specialized variety)

Spices:
3 pods of cardamom
½ inch cinnamon stick
¼ teaspoon ginger
2 cloves

Sugar to taste

 Preparation
1 Boil everything except tea and sugar on the medium heat for more than few minutes

Add tea bags and boil until desired color (i.e. strength) of tea.

Alternatively, tea bags can be served with each cup of tea for individual to decide strength of their tea.

3 Serve hot.
