Aloo Chat

Aloo chat or Aloo Chaat is a plate of savory snacks made from boiled and fried cubed potatoes served with chat masala. The word “Aloo” means potatoes in Hindi and the word “Chat” is derived from Hindi word Chatna, which means tasting. Thus, Aloo chat means savory potato snack. Also spelled Alu Chaat.

 Ingredients

6 medium size red potatoes (aloo)
ghee
4 teaspoon chat masala
3 tablespoons lime juice or tamarind
2 tablespoons ghee

 
 Preparation
1

Boil potatoes until done.

2 Peel and slice into ½ inch cubes.
3 Heat ghee in low-medium flame. Add cubes potatoes and heat until golden brown.
4 Remove from heat. Add chat masala and lime juice.
